Busy week summarized

Here's what happened this busy week:

I did a show for some Amway Meeting event on Wednesday, a show at Modiva for a liquor launch and a show for Amore Women's day out today. One more Amore show tomorrow.

The Amway show was pretty fun, we all had short kimonos and tights as our costume and the dance was Japanese modern dance inspired. The stage was pretty wide so I felt like I ran a 10K marathon after rehearsals and show. Good or bad, I can't decide.

The Modiva show was less fun because it just felt like we were some showgirls promoting liquor, the audience made me feel that way! We were wearing slip dresses and dancing to french music which was actually pretty nice and sensual except that the audience just looked at us like we were showgirls lor....haha! They were like really slow on the applause as well and stingy! I swear I could count the number of claps on one hand! Oh well haha...

After I had time to breath, I sat down to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Once I actually got the time, I finished the book in 1 and a half days! I must say I enjoyed the book thoroughly. A lot of the pieces finally came together and were explained and it was a superb read for me. The only downside is the rampant amount of deaths...I shall not say who. Only a small spoiler which i do not even consider as much....the part that upset me the most!

Harry's Owl, HEDWIG got murdered!!!!

It's so me to get upset over the death of a pet rather than of proper characters...but it sucks! I loved Hedwig!

Turns out Voldemort is quite an idiot in the end as well....=P!

After finishing my book, I got off my ass, did some work and I finished up 50% choreography of the dance item I volunteered to do for the Jitterbugs DAPees' upcoming graduation show in October. The goals and timeline I set for myself to finish all the stuff i needed to finish have been met! I'm quite proud of myself, given that I was somehow extra busy the past week with last minute shows!

Check List:

1) Half Choreography done for Jitterbugs DAPees dance item
- Teaching it to the DAPees this morning, will see how it progresses!

2) Full Choreography done for CAC HipHop Club Welcome tea item
- It's coming along really nicely and I think with a bit of cleaning, the item will look quite good! Keep it up guys!

3) Found my substitute instructor for Whitley! Thanks Sam!

I have claimed my rest week next week! My knee has been acting up again lately, I don't know if it's because of all the rolling on the floor during a show or is it just because I've been dancing too much. It actually feels loose and a little wonky! I hope it does not die on me when I am in Japan...knee guards, I need you!

All falling into place

2 shows down, 1 item choreography done.
2 more shows over the weekend and 50% of 1 more item to choreograph.
My Macbook is a beauty!

Things are falling into place for the last week before the big trip.

Now all I have to think about are finishing my Harry Potter book, remembering Pat's steps and deciding how much Singapore Dollars I'm going to convert to Japan Yen. =)

Any suggestions??

Tired Tired Tired!

Ahhh, Just got home! Am tired.

Been a routine of waking at 9am, running all over the place and returning home at 12am for the past 4 days.

Somehow, the jobs are all streaming in just two weeks before I fly off. I've got 4 shows, 4 rehearsals, 2 items to choreography for and 1 class to teach this week. Not to mention I have to go recap Patrick's dance steps for 3 songs! Yes, I get to earn money, but wah it's damn tiring!

I bought a Macbook and Harry Potter and I haven't had time to sit down and just enjoy them!

I was hoping for some free time so I could go sort out my "what to bring" and "essential belongings" lists for the trip in case I have things missing and I need to go buy them. I do not want to be running around like a mad woman looking for things just before I fly off!

I'm going to take off on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week to get all my stuff settled hopefully! Then I'm off to Japan for a Month! Everybody, Miss me!!!

I hate death

First 3 chapters into Harry Potter and I'm already upset! So many deaths...(that's all I'll say).

It's quite an exciting book so far and I foresee myself finishing it probably today or tomorrow! =PP...but why must there be soooo many deaths!!!

Almost Buttered!

Just got home from Butter Factory bout 15mins ago. It was pretty fun, I got wasted enough on 3 lychee martinis and 1 lambhorgini. Could have gone for a bit more but I decided not to since I have got to wake up early on Saturday. The place was freaking packed! It was a full house by about 1230am and the queue outside was long. Some of my friends couldn't enter because of that and left....sorry guys! But thanks for coming anyway!

Overall, it was a pretty good night. Music was not too bad and crowd was relatively cool. One thing that got to me though was the no. of friends messaging me throughout the day and night telling me that they couldn't make it for the event. Yeah, given they either have early mornings the next day or had a real tiring day at work or were not feeling well or whatever other reason...it was still kind of a bummer to me. Me and Yisi, combined - We invited at least 80 people to club with us but in the end only like 15++ turned up.

I was pretty excited when I woke up this morning, thinking that I'd have a real BIG bunch of friends going clubbing with me, and it's sort of like a "Birthday Clubbing night". As the day passed, I received plenty of messages from friends telling me that "Sorry, they could not make it that night". I told myself that I would not let my spirit be dampened and at 11pm I got to Butter Factory still in a good mood. As i was outside the entrance, waiting for 2-3 friends to arrive, I get a shit load of " sorry, i cannot make it" sms-es again. I throw it off my shoulder and I laugh it off, determined not to let it spoil my evening. I thought this: "I cannot dictate what other people choose to do right? They all have their own concerns and priorities as well. I can only choose what I want to do and I choose to have a good time partying".

I honestly enjoyed myself at Butter Factory! Thanks to Alex, Jasmine, Cindy, Marcus, Ti Eu, Ahmad, Yisi, Jeremy, Chinchao, Kay Wee, Jason Huan for taking time off to come down and party tonight. I appreciate it a lot! Thanks for the presents and free drinks!! Thanks as well to Serena who came all the way down to pass me present but did not club! Haha.

Just that now, as I sit here letting my alcohol effects wear off, I start to get a little pissed off about those "sorry, I cannot make it" sms-es. It's just such a bummer, you know? I could go on a rant about what I really feel about this issue, but I shall not. Because it's just my opinion. Like I said, I am not going to let it piss me off any further than it has. I am going to sleep and wake up and just discard the bad feelings into the bin because I honestly did enjoy myself a lot while I was there and that is all that matters.

I just want people to know that receiving a whole bunch of "Sorry, I don't think I can make it." sms-es was really a big bummer to me (by whole bunch, I really mean like 80% of my friends). I had really looked forward to having all my friends enjoy the night together with me. It was just this night, and so many couldn't turn up, thus I can say only this...

"I was kinda disappointed tonight, deep down inside."

Short Hiatus

After another big loss at the mahjong table for me, I have decided to lay off the game for a while. Am not really in the blogging/writing extensively mood lately, so...I'm going to take a few days leave from posting ok?

All I'm being inspired to type are one-liners and "msn-like" short sentences and lately my life's been pretty smooth and uneventful (read: BORING) so I shall not bore my readers with single sentence pointless rants. You can get that from me via MSN hehe. I could post pictures of my new PSP but I think that's pointless haha...so if you're bored people, go surf Youtube for a bit! =)

Will update again once I actually have more things to talk about, gush over, complain, laugh, ponder or discuss...

Til Laterz!

Making a gamer out of me

After one day of trying out an RPG game on my brand new spanking white PSP, I have come to the sad conclusion that............

I am such a sucky gamer!

Nevertheless, I shall strive on and improve my "attack" and button coordination moves! =P

Things to look forward to this week!

1. My Birthday (Buying my parents dinner at Arroy Thai)
2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Pre-booked my tickets already!)
3. Dinner treat from Justis (mwahahah)

I want to sink my teeth into.....

Stitches coming out tomorrow! Yay.
First thing I want to sink my teeth into is ......... chicken rice hahaha.
Second thing is Thai food and third thing is MALA huoguo!

Anyone want to treat me to MALA huoguo on my birthday week?? (NEXT WEEK!)

I tell you, any kind of surgery with teeth involved really gets you to lose weight pretty fast, so erm girls........if really desperate only. =P

Just watched 10 minutes of the Japanese version of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi" (aka Hua Yang ahao nan shao nu) and I must say it's WAYYYYYY much better than the taiwan version. I stopped watching the taiwan version after 5 episodes because it was getting a tad draggy and boring. I must say as well that in the Japanese version, the actors are so much cuter and that's only after watching 10 mins of episode 1! Looks like another good drama to entertain me for a while. I recommend it to all J-Dorama fans!

Til Laters!
